U-space services are developed by a number of independent organisations based on common regulations. However, the regulations are general. They do not describe the detailed features and parameters of the system components, such as drones, geozones, functions of the actors involved in the process, etc.
All of the above is essential to implement cooperating services. The Service Registry aggregating information required is needed for effective U-space implementation. It must be common and accessible for all on equal basis. The Registry should be unambiguous, i.e. it must have a dictionary describing features. The Registry will constantly evolve, as manufacturers' offerings and legal requirements change.
All the needs mentioned are now incorporated into one uRegistry. The uRegistry project is an open project under the CC BY-ND 4.0 licence. We encourage you to use it, update it and contribute to it.
We are ready to hand over the project to a public organisation which will ensure its continuation and strengthening through its authority.
